Many models, from Canada and from other countries, block their own country or state/province or local area to reduce the possibility of being viewed by family, friends, co-workers, teachers, etc. Maybe it sucks for you but it helps the models. But what makes you think you can't see any Canadian models on this site?
Btw, are you aware that you can interact with fellow Canadians in real life?

Like it has already been said it is more for safety reasons for a model to use the block feature. At one time model outside of the USA (such as Canada) had only one block option ...the whole country, but now I think they can block by province (not sure so it would be great if some model on the site could enlighten us of this).
Models sometimes have to be careful in the event that a member might turn into a stalker no matter how unlikely that might be. Most member respect the models and treat them with respect of that of a friend.
Not sure if this was of any help and yep it sort of suck with the blocking feature, but all it part of life.
